Printa Budapest
Our project was to redesign the interior of Budapest's cultic screen printing workshop's café and shop. To replace the dark and cramped shop interior, we imagined a spacious and light place with white walls showing up the colorful prints and the furniture, enhancing the effect on each other. In the interior we tore the existing suspended ceiling down and designed a new lighting system, to ensure that the original vaulted space can be fully experienced. (The walls were turned white, the floor light grey) When designing the objects, it was an important aspect that their position could be changed later on. The wall-mounted shelves are adjustable; the standards and display surfaces are free standing and made of light materials, so that they can easily be moved in the inner space. We used the following raw materials: concrete, plexiglass, wood and galvanised steel.
